Revised Date: April 11, 2026
New Media Technologies, Inc. and its affiliated companies ("we," "our," or "us") respect the privacy of all individuals. This Privacy Policy (the "Privacy Policy") governs our collection, use, and disclosure of your Personal Information (as defined below) in connection with your use of lifepolicycheck.org and any related website(s) on which this Privacy Policy is linked (collectively, "Sites") and any transactions, interactions, or other engagements you might have with us (collectively, "Services"). For clarity, the term "Sites" does not include any sites owned or operated by third parties, including any licensed insurance carriers, agencies, or agents we may refer you to.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the Sites or Services, you consent to the collection and use of your information by us as set out in this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy forms a part of and is incorporated into our Terms of Service. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY, YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO USE OR ACCESS THE SITE.
This Privacy Policy is subject to change. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy frequently for any revisions or amendments. If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, the revised policy will be posted on the Sites with the date of revision. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. You will be deemed to have been made aware of and have accepted the changes by your continued use of our Sites or Services.
When federal, state, or local laws and regulations (including state insurance regulations and NAIC model rules) require a higher level of protection for your Personal Information, they take precedence over this Privacy Policy. The Sites and Services are subject to the laws of the United States and your Personal Information will be processed in the United States. The Sites and Services are intended for use by individuals in the United States.
We may collect information that personally identifies, relates to, describes, or is capable of being associated with you ("Personal Information"), including:
We do not use the Sites to collect protected health information ("PHI") within the meaning of HIPAA; any general health information you provide is limited to the non-medical, self-reported categories above and is used only to help match you with appropriate insurance offers. The specific Personal Information we collect about you may vary based on how you use the Sites and/or Services.
We automatically collect information in connection with the actions you take on the Sites ("Usage Data"). For example, each time you visit our Sites, we may automatically collect the type of web browser you use, the type of device you use, your operating system, the pages you view, referring and exit pages, the date and time of your visit, and the number of clicks to, from, and within the Sites, and the duration of your visits.
We and our marketing partners may record calls and retain the content of text messages or other written/electronic communications between you and us or them. By communicating with us or our partners, you explicitly consent to such recording and retention, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
We ask you to provide Personal Information when you complete our quote quiz, submit a form, or otherwise communicate with us. You are not required to provide us your Personal Information; however, if you choose not to provide the requested information, you may not be able to use some or all of the features of the Sites or Services, including being matched with insurance providers.
We and third parties use cookies, pixels (including the Meta/Facebook pixel), and similar tracking technologies to track your interaction with our Sites and to improve the experience of our Sites and Services. We use the following types of cookies:
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect site functionality.
To document your consent and protect against fraud, we may use independent lead-certification services such as ActiveProspect TrustedForm and Jornaya LeadiD. These services capture a record of your interaction with the Sites (including a snapshot of the page, a visual recording of your session, and the disclosures presented to you) at the moment you submit your information. The resulting certificate or token is provided to us and to the insurance marketing partners with whom we share your lead.
We may work with third-party ad networks (including Meta Platforms, Inc.) to show you ads or content relevant to you. These companies may use cookies and tracking technologies to collect information about your use of our Sites and other websites. If you do not want to receive interest-based advertising, please visit the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) Consumer Choice Page.
We generally use Personal Information to connect you with licensed, independent insurance agents, agencies, carriers, and other marketing partners ("Insurance Partners") who can provide you with information about the life insurance products you have expressed interest in. We may also use your Personal Information for:
| Processing Purpose | Personal Information Used |
|---|---|
| Connect you with licensed Insurance Partners based on your inquiry | Identifiers, Insurance-Related Info, Commercial Info |
| Providing the Sites and Services | All categories listed above |
| Marketing and market research | Identifiers, Commercial Info, Internet and Network Info |
| Business operations and improvement | All categories listed above |
| Compliance with legal requirements (including state insurance and consumer protection laws) | All categories listed above |
| Information security and fraud prevention | Identifiers, Internet and Network Info, Lead Certification Data |
We may share your Personal Information with businesses that provide services to us ("Service Providers"), including website hosting, data storage, analytics, lead certification (e.g., TrustedForm, Jornaya), and communications facilitation. Service Providers are prohibited from using Personal Information other than as specified by us.
Our providing information to Insurance Partners, as described above, may constitute "selling" of Personal Information under certain laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). In the past twelve months, we have sold or shared the following categories of Personal Information:
| Category of Third Party | Type | Purpose | Categories of PI |
|---|---|---|---|
| Licensed insurance agents, agencies, carriers, and aggregators | Sale | To enable providers to market and offer life insurance products to you | Identifiers, Insurance-Related Info, Commercial Info |
| Ad networks and ad technology providers (incl. Meta) | Sharing | To facilitate advertising of insurance and related services | Identifiers, Internet and Network Info |
A current list of the Insurance Partners with whom we may share your information is available on request by emailing privacy@lifepolicycheck.org. Because the list changes as partners are added or removed, we provide it on demand rather than maintaining a static list.
We may disclose your Personal Information to comply with the law, respond to legal requests from state insurance regulators or other authorities, prevent illegal activity, protect safety and rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
By submitting your information through a form on our Site and checking the consent box, you provide your express written consent, pursuant to the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), 47 U.S.C. § 227, the FCC's implementing regulations (including the one-to-one consent rule finalized in 2024), and applicable state laws, to receive telemarketing calls, text messages (SMS/MMS), ringless voicemail, and emails about life insurance and related products from the specific Insurance Partner(s) identified to you at the point of consent, and from Life Policy Check / New Media Technologies, Inc., at the phone number(s) and email address(es) you provided, including through the use of automatic telephone dialing systems, prerecorded or artificial voice messages, and automated texting platforms, even if your number is listed on the federal or any state Do Not Call ("DNC") registry or internal do-not-call list.
Your consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services and is not required to obtain a quote. You may obtain information without providing telemarketing consent by calling a licensed agent directly. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies and depends on the partner and your engagement. You may revoke your consent at any time by (a) replying STOP to any text message to stop SMS from that sender, (b) asking a caller to place you on their internal do-not-call list, or (c) emailing privacy@lifepolicycheck.org with the subject line "Revoke Consent." Revocation applies prospectively.
Consistent with FCC rules, each consent you provide is specific to the identified seller and the specific topic of life insurance and related financial products. We will not treat a consent you give to one Insurance Partner as consent for unrelated sellers or products.
Leads submitted to our Insurance Partners are accompanied by the TCPA consent you provided, which is the legal basis for contacting you notwithstanding your presence on a DNC list. If you have not provided such consent (for example, if the consent checkbox was not checked), partners are instructed to scrub submissions against the federal DNC registry and applicable state DNC lists before placing telemarketing calls. You may add your number to the National Do Not Call Registry at donotcall.gov.
If you provide a mobile phone number, you may receive text messages from us or our Insurance Partners regarding your quote request. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Messaging frequency varies.
We do not knowingly collect or solicit Personal Information from anyone under the age of 18. Life insurance applications generally require the applicant to be an adult. If we learn that we have collected Personal Information from an individual under 18, we will delete that information upon discovery.
If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Texas, Utah, or Virginia, you have additional rights to access and control your Personal Information. Exemptions may apply.
You have the right to request twice per 12-month period that we provide you (i) the categories or specific pieces of Personal Information we collected about you; (ii) the categories of sources from which we collected your Personal Information; (iii) the business or commercial purpose for which we collected your Personal Information; and (iv) the categories of third parties with whom we shared or sold your Personal Information.
You have the right to request that we delete any Personal Information we collected about you. We are not required to honor a deletion request if a legal exemption applies.
You have the right to request that we correct any Personal Information that we have on file about you that you believe to be inaccurate.
You have the right to direct us not to sell or share your Personal Information to third parties, including Insurance Partners. We will process requests within 15 business days.
If you are a resident of a state that provides privacy rights and you would like to exercise your rights, you may submit a request by email to privacy@lifepolicycheck.org. After you submit your request, we may contact you to verify your identity.
We will not discriminate against any consumer for exercising their privacy rights under law or this Privacy Policy.
We currently do not respond to web browser "Do Not Track" signals. We may revisit this policy in the future.
We retain your Personal Information, including lead certification records, for as long as we have a relationship with you and for a period of time after our relationship has ended where there is an ongoing business need, including to comply with TCPA recordkeeping obligations, legal, regulatory, tax, and/or accounting obligations. TCPA consent records are typically retained for at least four (4) years after the last communication.
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures including 256-bit TLS/SSL encryption to help protect your Personal Information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure your information, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee complete security.
